Ok guys, as you probobly already know, quite a few of us do audio chat in the guild, an internet connection, an audio program and a working mic are required, currently eon members use skype because it is free, however if someone would be willing to host a vent or ts server off of their pc it would be greatly apprechiated. As far as i know there are 4 viable methods of audio chat available to us:-
Skypeskype is an audio program that has no fees, only when trying to call mobiles or telephones.
the pc-to-pc feature is free, you can add friends and call them up at any time (provided they are online)
there are over 10-14 million user online most times which is pretty big
bad news is that if the convo gets too big(5+) it shows sometimes in the hosters ping, only minorly, up until u get big ass convos (eg 10+)

Ventrilo(aka vent)
one of the most popular audio programs around
it is hosted on either a paid server (so no lag is experienced) or on a users pc (ping depends on number of players but is minor and is free)
it can become a massive server that can have 30+ members on (not sure on limit)
you can create different audio chat rooms, including private ones
the program takes up very little cpu

Team speakAlso one of the most popular ones
its pretty much similar to vent

msn messenger/live audiovery limited, possibly only a 1-to-1 audio program
also free
unpopular for game team co-ordination
more of a casual text communication
